How to Forward Messages in Ommnio

In Ommnio, forwarding messages is quick, easy, and available to all users with write permissions. Whether it’s a text, file, or audio clip, you can share important content across multiple chats in seconds.

What Kind of Messages Can Be Forwarded?

All users with write access can forward:

  • Text messages
  • Audio files
  • Videos
  • Images
  • Documents

Additionally, group administrators can forward:

  • Forms
  • Documents for digital signature
  • Mandatory reading messages

How to Forward a Message

  1. Tap on the message you want to forward.
  2. Select the “Forward” option from the menu.
  3. Choose one or more:
    1. Private conversations (one-to-one chats)
    2. Chat groups where you have write permissions
  4. The message will be sent immediately to the selected destinations.

What Will the Forwarded Message Look Like?

  • If you forward your own message:

    • It appears like a brand-new message in the recipient’s chat—no label or indicator is added.

  • If you forward someone else’s message:

    • The message will include a “Forwarded” label at the top, so recipients understand that you’re not the original sender.

This small but important detail helps maintain transparency and context in all group communications.

Tip: Use message forwarding to quickly share important updates across multiple teams without needing to rewrite or re-upload content.
