How to Permanently Delete a User in Ommnio?

If a team member has retired, finished their contract, or no longer needs access to Ommnio, you can permanently delete their account in just a few clicks.

Steps to Delete a User:

  1. Log in to the web version of Ommnio.

  2. Go to the "Users" tab.

  3. Find the user you want to delete and click the trash bin icon next to their name. You'll need to type the user's name before deleting the record to ensure no data is accidentally erased.

What Happens to a User’s Messages After Deletion?

Let’s say Mary retires from the company. She participated in many group conversations, and deleting her messages could disrupt the context of past discussions.

Here’s how Ommnio handles it:

  • Her messages remain visible to preserve the conversation.

  • Her name is removed and her avatar is replaced by a generic user icon.

  • Her contributions stay in the chat but are anonymized to protect her privacy.

This way, the team can still follow previous conversations without confusion or data loss.
