How to Pin a Highlighted Message in Ommnio
This FAQ explains how chat admins can pin or unpin messages in Ommnio to keep important updates visible to all group members.
Pinned messages allow you to spotlight important communications within a chat group—ensuring all members see key updates at the top of the conversation.
📌 Who Can Pin Messages?
Chat Administrators have the ability to pin messages in group chats.
Regular users can pin messages only in one-to-one chats.
How to Pin a Message
- Locate the message you want to highlight.
- Tap and hold the message on your mobile app, or click on the arrow over the message in the desktop version.
- A menu will appear—select “Pin message”.
That message will now appear pinned at the top of the chat for all group members.
How to Unpin or Replace a Pinned Message
You can:
- Tap the “X” on the pinned message to remove it, or
- Pin a new message, which will automatically replace the previous one.
This ensures that only one message is pinned at a time—keeping the chat clean and focused.
Tip: Use pinned messages for shift calendars, urgent notices, or key policies that everyone in the group needs to see.
