I'm Not Receiving Notifications in Ommnio
It's possible that, despite having notifications enabled in the Ommnio app, your mobile device may not receive them. Here's how to fix it depending on your device.
iPhone
If you're not receiving notifications on your iPhone, you may need to enable notification permissions for the Ommnio app:
- Go to Settings > Notifications.
- Find Ommnio in the list of apps.
- Make sure Allow Notifications is turned on.
- We recommend enabling Lock Screen, Notification Center, and Banners so you don't miss any messages.
Android
On Android, there are two common reasons for missing notifications:
1. Notification permissions are disabled
- Go to Settings > Notifications (or Settings > Apps > Ommnio > Notifications, depending on your device).
- You'll see a list of installed apps — if only the most-used apps appear, tap "See all".
- Find Ommnio and make sure the notification toggle is active.
2. Battery optimization is blocking notifications
Some Android devices aggressively limit background activity when in power-saving mode, which can prevent Ommnio from delivering notifications even when permissions are enabled.
- Go to Settings > Battery (or Settings > Apps > Ommnio > Battery).
- Look for a section called "Inactive Apps", "Battery optimization", or "Background restrictions" — the exact name varies by manufacturer.
- Make sure Ommnio is set to "Unrestricted" or is removed from the inactive apps list.
This ensures Ommnio stays active in the background and can deliver notifications even when your phone is idle.
If you've checked both settings and still aren't receiving notifications, try restarting your device. If the issue persists, contact us at help@ommnio.com.
