Sending files from a PDF, now from the Documents tab

To simplify navigation for those of you who are administrators in Ommnio, from now on, individual document deliveries from a PDF file (e.g. payslips) will be done from the Documents tab.

Some of you were sending documents from the old version of Docubot, accessing it via Settings > Apps > Docubot > Settings. In hindsight, this isn't the most intuitive approach.

That's why we've created the Documents tab, which serves two purposes:

  • Giving users a dedicated tab exclusively for documents you want to share with them permanently. Think of it as a kind of Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive for staff who don't have access to the company's internal systems.
  • Making it easier to manage templates and send documents, all from the same place.

Once we discontinue Docubot, two things will happen:

  • In Settings > Apps > Docubot, you'll still be able to configure the bot: changing the way it appears to users (name, logo, etc.).
  • In Documents > Sends, you'll find the same templates you already had set up, and you'll be able to send documents from there in exactly the same way you did from the Apps tab.
