What Can I Do as a Regular User in Ommnio?
When your organization invites you to Ommnio, they're creating a secure way to communicate with you while respecting your privacy and personal time. Ommnio lets your company reach you without needing your phone number, and you can choose to receive notifications only during your working hours, so your rest time is protected.
Here's a clear summary of what you can and can't do as a regular user.
What you can do
Messaging and participation
- Join your organization's environment in Ommnio and see the groups they've added you to.
- Read all messages and access the library of documents, media, and links in your groups.
- Send text messages and files (photos, videos, audio, and documents) in open groups.
- Read messages and access the library in read-only groups (you can't reply in these).
- See who the members of a group are.
- Edit and delete your own messages. They will appear marked as "edited" or "deleted."
- Pin messages in one-on-one private chats.
- Mute notifications in group chats, when the administrator has allowed this option.
Work-related features
- Confirm receipt and understanding of mandatory reading messages.
- Digitally sign legally binding documents your company sends you, with guarantees for both sides.
- Fill in surveys and forms, either publicly or anonymously, depending on how the administrator has configured them.
- See the results of a survey, if the administrator has made the answers visible to everyone.
- Receive automatic communications from Bots, such as your payroll or schedule.
- Clock your entry and exit times in a time registration chat, if your organization has activated this feature.
Access and preferences
- Use Ommnio on the mobile app (Android and iOS) and on the web.
- Set your profile picture.
- Set up a passkey to log in across devices and to use when signing digital signatures.
- Set your working hours and choose when to receive notifications: never, always, or only during working hours.
- Log out remotely from any device with an active open session.
What you can't do
- Create groups. Groups are always created by your organization's administrators. If you'd like a new group, ask your administrator.
- See groups you're not part of. You only see the groups your organization has added you to. If a colleague has a group you'd like to join, ask your administrator to add you.
- Leave a group on your own. If you believe you shouldn't be in a particular group, ask your administrator to remove you.
- Reply in read-only groups. You'll still receive all messages and access the library, but only administrators and designated writers can post.
- Change how your name, surname, department, or job title appear. These are shown as they are registered in your company's systems. If you need a correction, ask your administrator.
- See the results of a private survey. Only the administrator who created it can view the responses.
